This (1610 HP) 1971 Plymouth Barracuda Powered By 540 Big-Block Chrysler Will Give You A Heart Attack!

When it comes to drag racing, this ‘Cuda has the speed and the looks to be the potential top drag racing car on every track. But for now it still sits in one of Steve Morris’s garages, waiting to be finished.

Steve Morris is the guy who is working only on the engine so everything else that we see like the exterior and the interior of the car was done by the owner Joe Capps. He had this 1971 Plymouth Barracuda for some time now, but only recently he had the chance to finish with the exterior and to bring the ‘Cuda over to Morris shop so he could work on the engine. Actually Morris had the engine for almost 2 years but you know how it is with the financial problems these days. So we have a 540 Big-Block Chrysler which produces astonishing 1610 WHP. And if you don’t believe it there is a proof. Morris had the chance to test that in his shop, so he started the car and everything ran perfectly and you can just see when he pressed that gas pedal how the whole car started moving and the back wheels just went crazy.

Having some wearing problem and some interference, this car is still not ready for the track. But once it’s done I believe that it will be a great drag ride and it will win many races.
