We see many Plymouth Barracuda’s restored and made into old timer muscle cars. I bet however, that you haven’t seen many restored and made particularly for drag racing events.
Eric Monsenego is the owner of a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda witch he has made for drag racing. First he made a big burnout to try out how the ‘Cuda will handle itself and then on the second try this unbelievable monster makes an 8 second pass at Santa Pod, UK as if it was nothing. By seeing the outside of the car, you could tell that Eric is a true car lover, because nowadays we see many drag racing cars who are in a bad shape outside with just a powerful engine. But at the end it is just a drag race, why do they need looks when they have speed. On this ‘Cuda though, we can see a black and orange paint which really suits the car and the giant hood scoop which gives it a very powerful look. The inside of the car is only made and improved for racing with the standard racing cage and steering wheel which is removable. We can find only one seat inside which is for the driver and a few seat belts for safety. There is also an enormous exhaust system that goes through the middle of the car for higher performance.
All in all, it is a car whose only purpose is for racing and racing only. So we can say that Eric Monsenego had made a really decent job!
