New Exterior and Interior
The face of the truck has changed little since it was first released in 2013, but the interior has received a makeover. The seating position has been redesigned to improve the driver’s visibility, and the rear seat has been replaced by a Nav System monitor.
The center stack has been updated with additional features to improve the driving experience, including a new infotainment screen, which supports wireless charging and sports Siri, Google, and Amazon Alexa support. There’s also a new, larger 12-inch touchscreen, which is a welcome addition to the dash.

The base engine on the 2021 Tacoma is a new 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, which makes 260 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. This is mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission, which boasts improved shift times, shift lock, and gearDelete.
Other updates include an upgraded front bumper with more consistent design, additional underbody protection, and improved cooling with a new water-repellent finish.

The 2020 Toyota Tacoma receives several safety and driver assist features, including a new dual- camera system, lane-keeping assistance, and Trailering Braking Module.
