Although the sixth generation of the legendary pony car in US made its official debut in December last year, the 2015 Ford Mustang GT is a type of vehicle which makes car enthusiasts and “ordinary” people to turn around and stare like crazy. Apparently the Highway Patrol in California loves it too.

Here is what actually happened. Two automotive journalists were just cruising around and testing a beautiful dark grey 2015 Ford Mustang GT. As it turns out, the guys pushed the accelerator a little too much at a certain point, allowing the V8 engine to sing its song with full capacity. Eventually, that made curious a police officer of the California Highway Patrol riding on a bike. The cop went in pursuit of the Mustang. However, he wasn’t there to defend the law, serving and protecting, but out of sheer love for the wild pony.

Instead of pulling them over, he asked an unexpected question: “Do you mind if I take a look at your car?” Of course, the guys didn’t spoil his fun. But the very cool part of the whole story is that after getting off the bike, the cop said to them: “Sorry guys, I got a 1966 Shelby.” 🙂
