Let us bring you some history first for this iconic ’69 Ford Torino Talladega, maybe some of you know it very well but we’ll be brief.
This car was produced from Ford in just the first weeks from 1969 and was named by the Talladega Superspeedway track in Alabama. And the intention was clear, so much pushing and rushing with only one purpose, to make Ford more competitive in NASCAR stock races. Honestly Ford never meant to sell this model to the wide public but because of some regulation in the laws only 500 was sold in 1969, some rumors says that only 754 models were ever sold. The stock Ford Torino Talladega was powered by Ford Boss 429 V8 engine with 291bhp or 295hp with C6 automatic 4-speed transmission.
Enough history, this car intrigued us so we are impatiently waiting for the 7th part of Fast and Furious and see Vin Diesel doing some crazy tricks. But this one in the movie is not with the stock engine, it has double stronger performance, yeah, you read it right.
The wait for this Ford Torino TalladegaGPT Special built by Rad Rides by Troy (as the name says “Special”) is over, after 3 years of restoration and building the five minutes for this 750 hp monster with Ford Boss 429 V8 engine and 5 speed manual transmission came. For sure this fact get your attention and you are waiting to see this Talladega standing proudly with the other super cars in the movie.
