The burnouts are performed in honor of their murdered friend Jeffrey “Smitty” Smith. He was murdered in front of his business. Smitty was passionate car mechanics who had a lot of friends, car enthusiasts. You can notice the statements of his friends on the video, they all claim that the community lost a loyal friend who was always willing to help.

In his honor, almost all of his friends from all over the country came with their muscle cars and hot rods to give him the last honor, performing burnouts. For sure no one of them could forget Smitty.

On the video posted by YouTube user David Carson you will notice even the cars which was touched by his hands are roaring sadly, spreading sad burned rubber smoke which will follow him in his eternal journey.

Maybe this is the best way to say goodbye to someone who is very close to you, and you know that he would love that.
