Ladies and gentlemen, the Mercedes AMG GT Roadster arrives – however, only in the form of images: a full-fledged debut opener will take place in two weeks at the Paris Motor Show. And that’s the main surprise! This is not a good and tender sister steep coupe, as you might think. A standard GT Roadster produces 475 hp, and its frantic Mr. Hyde, GT C Roadster, shakes all 557 forces. Before the Paris Motor Show, Mercedes AMG has officially introduced a convertible version of its AMG GT model which will be offered in two versions with 475 and 558 horsepower.

The new letter of the AMG alphabet – it’s a cross between S and R, and thus it is not surprising that it’s full of iron track from the Mercedes AMG GT R Coupe. And it’s even closer to the R version, the “eight” in the super-roadster is 28 hp weaker, but the gap from the AMG GT S Coupe is impressive – a whole 47hp. 4-liter twin-turbo draws great numbers on the speedometer: 3.7 s to 0-100 km and top speed of 316 km / h ( the “normal» AMG GT Roadster manages 0.3 seconds and 14 km / h less).

Although the Roadster looks a little lighter than the Hulkish GT R, it took away from it all the very cool stuff. It’s cool exhaust of the AMG, the electronic differential and inflated arch, instead of rubber wheels thruster wider – track, of course, also increased by 57 mm. From the green monster the convertible also got flap in the front bumper, reducing air flow during prom and gulp it during track battles. The C-version also has its unique elements, for example, shorter gear ratios in the seven-speed transmission and longer seven, as well as an active rear spoiler which changes position depending on the speed and mode of the box.
