Amazing car reaching its glory in the second year of production. Impressive number of sales. The 1969 Plymouth Road Runner came with different versions numbered as 383, 440, 440+6 and 426 Hemi all of them with impressive performance, we must admit, this model was in front of the time it was produced.
With the new model update that year came the convertible version to join the hardtop and pillared coupe versions, also with colored decals and optional bucket seats, yeah, real sport car spirit.
The performance of the models were the following: 383 V8 engine with power of 335 hp at 5200 rpm and torque of 425 lb-ft at 3400 rpm; 440 V8 with 375 hp at 4600 rpm and 480 lb-ft at 3200 rpm, 440+6 V8 with power of 390 hp at 4700 rpm and torque of 490 lb-ft at 3200 rpm; and 426 Hemi V8 with power of 425 hp at 5000 rpm and torque of 490 lb-ft at 4000 rpm.
The 426 Hemi version accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.3 seconds. So watch the video and enjoy in the authentic restoration beautifully R/C scaled model of these geniuses. Even the engine sounds like a real 426 Hemi V8.
