Overinflating a trucks tire can be too dangerous as can be seen on this shocking video. From what we see here the result can be a deadly tire explosion. There are numbers on the side of the tires and when you mount them or just adding some pressure into them, make sure that you check first what is written there and what is the recommended tire pressure. These numbers need to be followed, the factory placed them there with a purpose, to serve you good and to protect you from harm.
What harm one might ask? There can be a blast from the tire, the overinflated one that is, that can cost you too much money and in worst case it can cost you your life. That’s why the guidance should always be respected and the numbers should be respected. So when you are adding some pressure to the old tires or pumping the new ones for the first time since they are mounted on your truck, make sure that you read the recommendation and do not overinflate.
Overinflating the tires is dangerous, as shown on this video as the head of the crash test dummy just flew off the scene.
