There are a lot of scammers around, yeah, you will give them all the trust to repair your four wheel pet and they will disappoint you. Such a lust. But what is more interesting here is that are threatened 30 million customers each year. Yeah because the discovered scam is caught on tape in one of the nation’s biggest chain of mechanic shops!

Not that we want to humiliate them or overrate them, we just want to open your eyes because there are a lot of inexperienced mechanics out there which consciously or unconsciously will skip few steps in the repairing process! Check the video bellow where two test cars are brought to Jiffy Lube with installed cameras on them.

You bring your car at the mechanic shop and the service advisor recommends you more repairs than just changing the oil, for example the fuel filter which needs to be changed every 48 months or 60,000 miles. If you marked previously the fuel filter after you left the mechanic shop you can check the status of the “new” fuel filter and guess what, the old is still operating there.

This weird situation happens so often as the insider says “Why go over the trouble repairing it when they can charge you money and actually don’t replace it because it is in a really hidden place”!
