Holy mother of horsepower! This car might just be the most insane stick shifted Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution we have EVER seen by now. The owner Mirjan and the talented team at Boostin Performance from Illinois have truly built up one wicked Evo that makes all of the other dragsters powered by big block V8s in the Junior Class tremble in fear! The whole action took place during the Chitown’s King of the Streets event where many people come to claim the money, and most are sent packing for home after the first round. And this baby undoubtedly belongs to the first category. The output of more than 1000 horsepower found under the hood of this Evo was more than enough to take the victory. There was a beautiful 76mm turbocharger under the hood to boosts the 2.0-liter engine.
This particular Mitsubishi Evo is a back halfing king on the drag strip! Seeing the skilled driver Mirjan shift this bad boy to the finish line is truly a remarkable sight. Our hats off to Mirjan and the tuning crew at Boostin Performance!
From what we saw on the drag strip, we can say that is definitely one crazy wild Evo! First we get to see the Evo racing against a LSX powered Mazda RX7 in the first round of the King of the Streets event in which it won the race without breaking a sweat. The second race features the mean Evo against a white turbocharged Pontiac Trans Am during the semi final of the Junior Class. You can guess the winner: once again the nasty Evo. It was cool to see it spitting some flames from the exhaust pipes while shifting through the gears. And finally, came the final round. In the finals, our hero Mirjan was racing against an old school Chevy Malibu with some nitrous juice. But unfortunately the victory went to the Malibu. Nevertheless, it was a pleasure to watch such an amazing tuned Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
Check it out guys!
