Steven Spielberg is well known to all of us as a film-making genius who never ceases to amaze us with all of his movies. Even at the beginning of his career Spielberg was creating masterpieces which are known and appreciated even today. One of those movies is the thriller Duel made in 1971. This film is remembered by the epic duel between David Mann (played by Dennis Weaver) and a mysterious and mostly unseen truck driver (played by Carey Loftin).

In the film David Mann drives his 1971 Plymouth Valiant on a business trip along a highway in the California desert. His trip soon turns into a psychologically intense and never-ending nightmare when he encounters a rusty and grimy 1955 Peterbilt 281 tanker truck. When Mann tries to overtake the truck, the truck driver takes it as an insult and a personal challenge. First, the invisible truck driver repeatedly overtakes David and brakes; then he starts to play psychological games with David, tempting him to overtake and then blocking. The truck driver even tries to kill David on the road. At first, David tries to get away from the truck, but then realizes that it will not save him and that he should take up the challenge.
