There are a lot of prototypes in the automotive industry named as “what-if” which promised big changes but actually did nothing. Torpedo Tucker is exactly that kind, a car, a mystery on the first look but never hit the big scene.
But this model is not so desperate, actually 51 pieces were ever built before Preston Tucker closed his shop. It’s kind of famous prototype.
This Tucker Torpedo which we have here on the photos is a replica of the original 1946 and he dates from 1948 and is made as a labor to Tucker. In the process of manufacturing were used the original plans and parts which possesses the 1946 Tucker Torpedo model.
