In the summer of 2014, on June 10, in Brighton occurred a magnificent proof of real courage and heroism. Two female police officers had restrained Bradley Jay Hughes in their police car after arresting him for domestic violence. At one moment when he got out of the car Hughes attacked the police officers and tried to escape. However, Kiya Ingham, a young brave teenager who was passing nearby rushed into assistance and tackled the man to the ground.

Although Ingham was threatened by the arrested man he remained incredibly brave and continued to help the officers, allowing them to regain control of the criminal. As soon as the officers regained control again and restrained Hughes, Kiya stood out in the street and directed police officers which arrived to give back up to the female police officers. The street on which this incident occurred was very busy and a lot of other people were passing by but did not offer any help to the officers. This is definitely a great example of bravery and unselfishness!
