At the beginning they were kind of bald but the addition of threads improved their traction. But they never stopped evolving through the last century. Today’s tires are made from 10 to 12 components including natural rubber, synthetic rubber, carbon for pigment and other chemicals. All these components are mixed in giant blenders under heat in huge pressure until the final product is made, a gummy rubber dough. Each tire layer is made on nearly the same way until the same final product is reached, only the mixture is different and varies from the ingredients included.
