Sticking A Ferrari V8 Into A Toyota GT86: This Is What Happens When You Combine THE BEST OF JAPAN AND ITALY!

The worldwide famous drifter Ryan Tuerck has his latest Toyota GT86 drift missile featuring a Ferrari V8 engine from the Ferrari 458 Italia under the hood. We are more than certain that this Tuerck’s latest drift missile is going to be a spectacular machine. We are looking forward to see how will it perform on the drift track.

We have seen many V8 swaps in the Toyota GT86, they are nothing new. However the swaps that we have by now have mostly involved General Motors’ LS engines and some other American V8 bangers. But to do a Ferrari V8 heart transplant?! Now that is something on a completely new level of engineering. We are pretty sure that this hasn’t been done before in a Toyota, and to increase the “OMG” factor just a little more, it is not the more obvious V8 engine from the Ferrari California with front position of the engine. Instead, the fabulous team of experts who was responsible for this swap project was more into for the more highly strung, mid-positioned version of the F136 engine found under the hood of the Ferrari 458.

It will be a much more exciting engine, but there is one problem here: now that it is being put in a front-position configuration, the air intakes are pointed towards the cabin. As a result of this, you will notice that a part of the windscreen frame was cut away in order for the huge monster to fit. So it’s sure as hell not going to be an easy job, but we are certain that it will all be worth it in the end.

“Drifting is a cheap sport” – you can definitely forget about that!

What do you think, will it improve the drifting performance of the one and only Ryan Tuerck? We bet you are very excited to find out pretty soon. So are we friends!
