Can you imagine living in a cave like primitive people? Because it still exists. There is a large one of a kind Chinese cave, with school and basketball court, and it is the home of 100 people. About 100 people live in the village of Zhongdong, in Guizhou Province, China, and are organized as a society in a natural rock. The cave is located high in the mountains at 1800 meters above sea level, with the only means of arrival is a walk that lasts about an hour, facing different geographical difficulties. The Chinese know that in the voids of the crust is retained an optimum microclimate, there is no rain, while the temperature is about the same all year round.

The village Zhongdong in the Guizhou Province, China is believed to be the only inhabited natural cave in the state. At 1,800 meters above sea level, the cave can be accessed only with a one-hour climb and precisely for this reason this particular community is struggling to survive. The inhabitants struggle day after day to be recognized, even facing the Chinese government. In 2011, the authorities decided to close the village school, stating that “China is not a society of cavemen.” Now, the children must walk on foot for two hours during the day and at night, to attend another school.
