Have You Ever Seen How A Bituminous Road Is Made? 5 KM IN JUST 2 DAYS! Very Nice & ADVANCE TECHNOLOGY!

In the course of just two days, a total of 4.9 kilometers of bituminous road were completed which is truly amazing, right? It’s really impressive to see the whole procedure. The final results are simply amazing. A brand new bituminous road which is fully ready for use.

The finishing touches were recently done on the upgrade to the Airstrip Road. The upgrade was worth 443,000 Australian dollars. The project was funded through the Roads to Recovery Funding Program. We have to admit this was an excellent job done by the entire road works crew who managed to perform outstanding skills and efficiency. Also Trevor Longman with the Shires did a great job making this drone footage.

Some of you might be thinking that this road pavement technology looks good but how can it last. Also the question arises how does the bitumen actually bond to the dust? The answer to that question is laying one or two coat seals. These types of roads last quite a while depending on the traffic load. They are not used very much in urban areas but they are quite common on rural and long range roads.

Let’s say a few words about this project. The objective of this programme is to contribute to the Infrastructure Investment Programme. This contribution should be achieved through support for the maintenance of the local road infrastructure asset in Australia, which facilitates greater access for the Australian people while also improving road safety, positive economic and social outcomes. The main body behind the Roads to Recovery Programme is the Australian Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

From the years between 2014 and 2019 the Australian government should provide funds of 3.2 billion dollars purposed for the Roads to Recovery programme. These funds are to be distributed to the local Australian councils, state and territory governments which are responsible for the local roads in areas with no councils, as well as the territories on the Indian Ocean.

What do you think of this type of technology for paving country roads with bitumen? Do you think this project is worthwhile? Let us know in the comment section.
