Apparently, the owner of this red Ford Mustang Cobra gets a warning that if he does another run in the 10s without a roll cage he would be banned from the track for the rest of the season. When it comes down to racing on the drag strip with your daily car, there are a few rules and regulations that every participant must abide by if their plan is to reach certain speeds or to conquer time brackets.

But, what he did on his next pass was just freaking HILARIOUS! You guys know how adrenaline addicts can be when they are deprived of their need for speed. This is the key moment when a bit of ingenuity kicks in. Hey, we cannot blame him, you can never satisfy your hunger for racing.

You guys won’t believe what happened during this racing day back in 2007. The driver of this Ford Mustang Cobra was warned not to run in the 10s again without using a roll cage on his car. If he dares to do another single run, he would be forbidden to race on the track for the rest of the racing season. Now this is a tricky situation to be in. What if one really wants to do another run on the track, but without getting banned at the same time?!

Our clever Mustang Cobra owner on the video below decided to use some cleverness and still accomplish his mission to race with a success. Instead of getting himself banned from racing, the Cobra driver did what any reasonable person would do…waited 4 seconds after the green light before he put the hammer down.  And Voila! You got yourself an epic 14 second run!

You still believe it is impossible? If you think this is likely possible, know that you are making a terrible mistake. And that Cobra driver found the right solution. He waited for 4 seconds after the green light was on, then he pressed the gas pedal hard and launched like a speeding bullet.…and behold…a 14 second run 🙂
LOL. The result of his feat was a time of 14.2 seconds at speed of 131.9mph.
