Drag racing has been brought to a whole another level by the Top Fuel driver Shawn Langdon. He managed to finish the quarter mile drag race in 3.77 seconds at speed of 316 MPH. You cannot even imagine how it feels like to be in that cabin of the drag race car when it hit the 316 MPH mark, but it was a great thing to place a camera in the driver’s helmet. This way we can see the video and just admire the driver Shawn Langdon that managed to drive this car as fast as possible.
The torque on this drag race car is just stunning. The force that is pulling you forwards is enormous and it makes a great deal of pressure to your lungs too. That’s why when the race was over the driver asked the guys to open the cabin immediately, so that he could take some fresh air and refresh a little bit. He must be shaking of happiness too, because he managed to finish the race in 3.77 seconds at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, which is such a great achievement for one drag racer. Most of the drag racers can only dream about the thing that Shawn did here, and the max speed that was reached of 316 MPH is amazing too.
This is one crazy drag race car that has been totally made out of scratch. Now the two front wheels are very thin and small, and they are at smaller axle distance than the normal drag race cars. The rear wheels are much bigger for better grip and they are the ones that are driving this car so fast. The cabin is made aerodynamic so there is only less resistance from the air, making sure that the car will stay on the ground no matter of the speed.
Ladies and gentlemen, press the play button and see the beast, Shawn Langdon!
