The legendary car reappeared in January 1999 with a modified chassis and other updates. The model from the new generation was slightly shorter than the previous one, and the front axle has become closer to the front. The cover flaps were painted shiny red, instead of black, which is deposited on the valves of past generations. Also the turbocharging has been updated. Specifically for this car has been designed a new, more solid 6-speed gearbox GETRAG. On the V-spec models appeared temperature sensors for the intercooler. On the R34 GT-R was set a 5.8″ LCD display that lets you view parameters such as pressure turbo oil temperature and coolant, and for the V-spec, also the schedule of longitudinal and transverse acceleration and lap times in racing circuit.
