If you are getting an adrenalin rush on ultimately big machines, powered by a Detroit Diesel engines that looks like it is going to make a meatball out of the entire planet earth, than the following video that we have prepared for you today is just the right thing to get you going and put a big smile on your face.
And we are not talking about some big ‘End of the world’-Hollywood blockbuster, but for RG LeTourneau’s “Tree Crusher”, one of the most amazing and powerful machines ever created. I simply can not explain to myself how is it that we haven’t find out about this any sooner.
The video about the Tree Crusher is taken from an old 16 mm film, in which we can see how this one of a kind massive bulldozer is driving through the woods, ‘stepping’ over the trees like it is just a grass. From what we could find out, this powerful machine was also used in Vietnam War, in order to help the US troops to ‘clean’ the forest. LeTourneau designed and built several of these monsters during his years of work, beginning from the early 50s, all the way to the 70s. And there was not only one design, but each and every machine was designed and built according to the environmental conditions where it was intended to operate.
But we are not going to tell you the entire history of this ultimate nightmare of every forest in the world, but will encourage you to watch the video and see how this monster operates.
