Is it enough to drive a supercar in order to be a fast driver or there is something that money cannot buy? The answer to this question gives us Sebastian Vettel in the video below in which on the start line stood Ferrari 488 GTB with 660 hp and an ambulance vehicle with around 150 hp.
Shell invited the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 ™ hero, Sebastian Vettel, to swap his high performance Ferrari 488 for an unknown three-ton ambulance vehicle during an extraordinary race against the clock. Although it sounds that it is the most unfair race in racing history, it must be emphasized the fact that behind the wheel of the ambulance sat the F1 champion.
In this incredible test, the Ferrari was driven by Alex Knapton, the driver of the ambulance in the UK.
Napton had 660 hp available, while Vettel just 150 hp. Drivers who drive ambulance vehicles must always quickly reach their goal and are valid for very skilled drivers, but would that be enough? Let’s find out.
Can an ambulance van with 150 horsepower be faster than the Ferrari 488 with six times more power? It depends. It depends on who’s behind the wheel and depends on the racetrack where the race would take place. In its latest promotional video, the Shell company wants to reassure us that the pilot in Formula 1, Sebastian Vettel driving the ambulance van is faster than the official driver of the van in the Ferrari 488 GTB on the same racetrack.
The quadruple F1 champions title of Vettel gives authenticity to the video, but on the other hand, behind the wheel of the Ferrari sits Alex Knapton who is far from a beginner. He has driven in over a thousand emergency rescues of human lives. Thus, Alex would be able to skillfully drive the racetrack and be faster with the super sporting car than Vettel with the heavy ambulance van.
Watch the amazing video below and see what happens when Sebastian Vettel takes on a paramedic and find out who wins! Enjoy the show guys!
