1 OF 99 EVER BUILT: 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SC Yenko 427 Shot In The Lingenfelter Private Collection!

Let us bring you some history here and explain to those of you who don’t know the real meaning of Yenko signature on the Chevelles, Camaros and Novas. The story begins with the Yenko Stinger in 1965, actually Chevrolet Corvair which received upgrades on the engine increasing the horsepower and torque. The Yenko Stinger story lasted until 1969, but next the story continued with the Camaros and the Chevelles.

Real master mind, Yenko used the 427 big block V8 L-72 engine with all the parts which contribute for the high performance and delivery of 425hp in his order. During the 1969 the cars became so popular that Yenko started using COPO (Central office production order) system to get the Camaros, Chevelles and Novas with transplanted engines directly from the production lines.

In brief that’s the story of Yenko, today, the brand is so valued from the collectors and these masterpieces cars are wanted!

Watch the video and see the Yenko Chevelle 427 SC seen in the Lingenfelter Private Collection in awesome shape in yellow color with black stripes with preserved interior like yesterday left the saloon! Also notice the hardtop wrapped with skin. We can only say that Don Yenko knew it what the people want but from Chevrolet wasn’t so responsive to follow his needs in the years that came. Nowadays Chevrolet owns the brand Yenko and since the 2010 Yenko Camaro there are rumors that they will revitalize the brand.
