Once again YouTube user and automotive enthusiast 1320video managed to amaze us with this great video featuring the greatest enemy of the poor Toyota Prius. Check out this diesel powered rat rod build by Welderup garage from Las Vegas.
Watch out for your lungs because this is undoubtedly one of the most polluting cars in the world. This rat rod having a base of a 1928 Dodge frame is fed by a diesel fuming over 1000 hp. Welderup specialists modified the vehicle in order to accommodate a large twin-turbo Cummins diesel engine making over 1,000 horsepower and torque of over 2,700 Nm! Indeed, it makes a thick black smoke, very black!
The car appeared in the 2014 SEMA gigs among other exhibits. It is the work of Steve Darnell, the mastermind that runs the Las Vegas-found customization shop Welderup famous also for the show Vegas Rat Rods on the Discovery Channel.
The Dodge made the show with donuts where the white smoke of the wheels mingled with the black smoke from the exhaust. Not everything is very clean, but it’s true that it detonates! Enjoy the great show folks! 🙂
