We are sure that there is quite the learning curve when it comes to learning the ropes of working onboard of a rather large ship like the one on the presented video below. That learning curve is always followed by a more common margin of error together with many epic and possibly expensive mistakes that we will all look back on and laugh at one day in our lives.

However, this time that mistake was extremely expensive and possibly very dangerous for the people nearby. The unfortunate incident occurred when a crew was dropping the anchor from this ship. At one point something went wrong and the anchor, which was supposed to be lowered slowly, started to drop insanely at whatever speed gravity will allow. The anchor was so badly out of control that there was absolutely not a thing in the world left to do. The crew around was helpless to solve the situation.

You better see everything on the video below as the anchor begins to drop so fast that the chain which held it created a fire from the friction. This is one extremely intense situation!!!

Just think how much the chain, anchor and that winch cost. And now it’s all gone! Damn, what a waste.
