One of the most unique and original collections of cars is the one of Bill Mullis from Ashville, North Carolina. Having more than two dozen Corvettes covering from the first to the third generation as well as samples of the C5 and C6 generations, notice that all of them have one thing in common – they’re all black!
The collection consists of multiple body styles and powerplants while according to Bill, only a Black 1965 Fuelie Coupe has managed to elude him to date. The first Chevy Corvette which Bill bought for himself a long time ago was painted black. The black beauty attracted him and soon he found out that black Corvettes are very few. So, he set before himself a kind of personal challenge to get his hands on as many black Vettes as he can, while covering the brand formative years.
After a while, he sampled a collection of shiny black Corvettes and other Chevy icons which is more than impressive work of art. Although he never opened formally his collection for the eyes of the public, we have here a video with Bill and his black beauties.
Unfortunately in June 2011, 23 Vettes released from 1954 to 1969, which were the core of the collection, were sold off on a Mecum Auction at Bloomington Gold.
Check out this amazing unique collection of beautiful black Vettes and give us your opinion on it!
