The 2015 Le Mans 24 Hour Race OWNER! Introducing The GT-R LM NISMO – Nissan NISMO’s Entry In The LM P1 Category!

This year in the most powerful LMP1 class of sport prototype cars, the WEC championship, besides Toyota, Audi and Porsche, we will have the chance to see Nissan also participating with the revolutionary GT-R LM NISMO.

Little unexpected, using the ideal chance, the American Super Bowl event, which was followed by millions of people, Nissan introduced the extreme “racer” which this season is coming back in the LMP1 class of prototypes.

Here we are talking about a car named GTR-LM NISMO (LM is short for Le Mans), besides the fact that it has nothing in familiar with its ancestor – the serial “Godzilla” Nissan GT-R. Thanks to the wide use of carbon-fibers and poly-carbon from which are produced the front and the side windows, the carbon-fiber composite and aluminum honeycomb monocoque used for the chassis with fully stressed engine make this beast weigh 880kg (1940.1 lbs), (4,65 m long and 1,9 m wide).

But we were surprised of the unusual configuration of this car, yeah, very unusual for this type of cars.

The heart of the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO is a 3.0-liter twin turbo  V6 engine and a kinetic energy recovery system which are suited in front of the driver  and with 5-speed transmission the power is transferred to the front wheels.  We will see in practice if this solution is the real one.

That’s all for now, watch the video and enjoy.
