Even though some may say that the Lamborghini cannot praise itself with a racing history compared with the other Italian sports cars brands, like the Alfa Romeo or the Ferrari, do not make a mistake thinking that the race track is completely strange to it. Today we are going to introduce you with the Lambo’s latest challenge for racing domination, the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 model, which is already competing in Europe, in the Blancpain Endurance Series.
Unlike some previous race models like the Gallardo GT3, when they borrowed a certain experience and knowledge from some other companies, for the creation of this jaw-dropping and fast as hell model of Huracán, Lamborghini took much of that work in-house. There was some small intervention in the aerodynamics by the experts at Dallara, but most of it was Lamborghini’s own creation.
Compared with the production variant, this GT3 has only rear-wheel drive, but under the hood, things are pretty much the same, with some small changes. There is still the same 5.2 liter V10 motor, but now it is mated with a 6-speed sequential gearbox. Also, there is a weight reduction, so now the GT3 weights 2 732 lbs, compared with the 3 135 lbs of the standard Lamborghini Huracán, and it is also about 80 pounds less than the Super Trofeo model.
The pleasure to drive this awesome lime green GT3 model is for the Squadra Corse Team. But the rights to this jaw-dropping and fast as heel Huracán, does not exclusively belong to them. Meaning, if any of you wants to have it in his garage, all you got to do is cash out $427 400, plus taxes.
