1964 Ford Mustang
The most striking legend of the New World was “born” in 1964, and almost immediately won the lion’s share of the sports car market. The appearance of the Mustang is obliged to the 39-year-old general manager of Lee Iacocca and the two-seater 1954 Ford Thunderbird, which at one time fully responded to the American notions of a sports car.
The striking appearance, coupled with affordable price will allow the car to conquer the hearts of the Americans. By the end of the year their owners have found 263, 434 Mustangs, but in just two years the project has brought a billion in net profit. Not only did the car enjoyed popularity -- the Americans even swept keyrings and caps with the image of the Mustang from the shelves.
