When it comes to RC planes, the Starfighter is king of them all. It is the king because it has jet engines installed on it, same like the real planes have, and it is RC controlled.

The pilot of this Lockheed F-104N Starfighter RC plane is a former pilot that has more than 2500 flight hours on airplanes. He is one experienced pilot, and he knows what he is doing when controlling this massive RC plane. This RC plane weighs around 20 kilos, it is not very heavy but that’s why it is easy to maneuver, easy to take off and easy to land.

When we watch it on the video it seems easy at least, but we cannot even imagine what it is really like to control this plane when it is up in the air. There are many things that need to be checked before the flight starts, because if not checked a malfunction of some parts can happen which can lead to a disastrous end of the life of the plane.

It doesn’t come cheap though, and losing one unit like this can cost you quite a bit, the pilot needs to be careful as much as when he is controlling a real plane.
