INDESTRUCTIBLE – 1957 and 1963 Dodge Power Wagon! OWNER SAYS: THIS IS MY LIFE!
This `59 Dodge Power Wagon, a prior military possession, has been in John Metzler`s hands for 25 years. Now, John has in mid to restore this truck.
This Dodge Power Wagon was forged in the WWII fires. It was dubbed as Power Wagon in 1946.
Under the hood of this military power laysflat head six with 230 cubic inches. The customers had a chance to choose between two versions: the highway-friendly rear end of 4.89 that runs up to 50 mph or the 5.83 that in the top gear reaches 45 mph. The truck has 4-speed transmission.
Moreover, a more modern military version was built in 1968. This version is practically not different from the 1946 one.
Metzler`s truck has now been furbished with MAR-K Oak wood bed kit. The engine is transformed `55 Dodge 270ci Hemi. There are forged venolia pistons which deliver a compression ratio of 9:5:1.
