Known around the whole world the American tuning shop AMS offers various tuning kits for the Nissan GT-R. The most powerful kit commercially available is the tuning package AMS Alpha 16. A few months ago, one of the owners of Nissan GT-R with the mentioned tuning package conducted tests of his car for passing the ¼ mile.

It should be noted that the car was no relief, moreover on it was installed a rollcage. Before the races, the owner weighed his Nissan GT-R and the final whole car weighted 1750 kg, excluding the weight of the driver.

The GT-R was set up on the basis of the Syvecs control system. In total, the car made ​​5 races and all were less than 9 seconds! The first race was on the “average” boosters, but it was enough to result in 8.84 seconds. Further, from a security standpoint the owner increased the boost pressure of the steps, thus each time improving the time. Subsequent arrivals showed 8.81 sec., 8.66 sec., 8.25 sec., and the last race was the best – 8.11 seconds, with the output speed of 280 km/h!
