The father of Metropolis II is Chris Burden, and this kinetic sculpturing is now installed in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art! It is a scaled city, a city built from small sculptures and the cars are moving constantly on rails. It is really stunning to see something so huge built from so small fragments and it is alive, something is happening there all the time. The most amazing fact is that everything is somehow synchronized, there are no crashes between the cars and the train!
