This video shows us fabrication, design and testing of a homemade mini speed boat. The test is a little short because this video was made during the winter, but anyway we manage to see what this boat can do. The boat was made by 8′ custom hydroplane build, using house primer and paint. It was built in 2010. He makes the first test of the hydro on the Columbia River at the Dalles marina, when the weather is cold, we can notice the snow behind on the mountains.

We see that the test was not a failure, but it was not stable enough. The boat kept going up and it was pretty unbalanced. After the test, he decided to add angled motor mount and ballast weight up front. Total cost of the boat was around $800.
