Traveling from Japan to Russia is a long destination, and these cars got thrown away from the ship into the sea. The heavy sea storm that hit the marine ship Astongate was so strong that it threw most of the cars to the bottom of the sea, and the ones that were left on the deck are all messed up, crashed and not usable any more.
But that was the deal, the owner and the one that sent the cars to Russia has signed an agreement in which it is clearly stated that they agree with the cars being held on the deck of the ship and not inside on the parking lots.
That’s why there is a risk of disaster, but it is much cheaper too. Now being cheap has made this owner to suffer, as 52 out of 64 cars were sank to the bottom of the sea, leaving 12 damaged and not usable cars, probably they will be sold for spare parts or something.
It would be a great decision to make and to pay for the inside parking on the ship, now out of 64 cars the owner will not be able to sell even one.
