It is simply very difficult to live the breathtaking beauty of the universe through an ordinary photograph or a video, but now thanks to virtual reality we can all at least briefly feel that we are inside the body of one of the astronauts who daily enjoy the stunning views of the universe. The first such recording in history, made by a Russian cosmonaut, provides a wonderful experience of life in orbit. On November 17th, Russia Today reported that for the first time ever, through their Space 360 project the world will be able to see the spectacular images captured in low orbit by the Russian cosmonaut Andrei Borisenko who is staying at the International Space Station. The new project of RT, “Space 360” is to film the Earth at an amazing 360 ° video from the International Space Station (ISS). The video was taken from the Dome, the place from which the inhabitants of the International Space Station observe the planet Earth.
Presented by Russia Today in cooperation with the Russian space agency Roscosmos and rocket and space corporation Energia, the project “Space 360” will display the first 360° footage ever recorded from the low Earth orbit.
The goal, according to Borisenko is to allow the viewers the same point of view which those lucky ones who live in the ISS have every day.
“For the first time ever we shoot panoramic videos from the International Space Station. This means that everything we see you will be able to see but with your own eyes, i.e. you can at least take a moment to feel what it’s like to be a real astronaut, “said Andrei Borisenko.
First we look from the outside of part of the planet which is observed northern polar light and then gets peek inside the “Soyuz” where the Russian cosmonauts are. If you watch the video on YouTube in phenomenal 4K resolution you can see in all directions through the commands for movement, so enjoy the show my friends!
