Bentley Mulsanne Has An Engine With A Peak Torque Of 1,100 Newton Meters And Is A CORNERSTONE OF THE BENTLEY BRAND! Don’t Miss HOW IT’S MADE!!!

Ever wondered about the engine of the Bentley Mulsanne and how it is assembled? Well this video is all about that, the company’s rock solid engine that has been redesigned and now is back in the production line. First to start is the crank shaft to be mounted in place. Now this is a delicate process and it is done by a fully trained and well experienced technician and professional. The crank shaft is brought over the engine’s housing with a rig over it, and then placed gently into the sliding slots. It has to be tightened in place so that no free moving is allowed between the bearings.

The main bearing caps are placed over the crank shaft and they are marked on the top too, so no mistake is allowed here as well. The main bearing caps will hold the crank shaft in position all the time and no spacing is allowed in between. After this step comes the camshaft. The technician drops slowly the camshaft into the block making sure that it is in the correct place. Sealing rings go on the top of the camshaft for complete closure and no leakage.

There is a special machine that checks the pistons and before the worker separates the cap from the rod the machine will check if it is the correct size per the measures. After that the piston rings are placed and with a special tool he compresses them, then carrying the piston into the tool he inserts the piston into the correct boar. Now this is a critical process as the pistons must be placed where they belong and the rings must be in the correct spot in order to keep the compression in the engine.

This is great process and it is better explained by the host of the video as the engine of the Bentley Mulsanne is being assembled.
