If you remember, back in October, we posted about SRT`s request to come up with a name for its newest Viper. All in all, there were 11,000 entries out of which winner was finally chosen. Patryk Skarzynski from Chicago proposed “Competition Blue” as the new name for the SRT.
For his contribution, Patryk is awarded with a trip to the 2014 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona at the Daytona International Speedway. He will be able to take a close look into the SRT Viper design team.
Dressed in the new Competition Blue, the SRT is going to debut at the 2013 SEMA Show. This explosive vehicle is equipped with a Mopar carbon-fiber X-brace and a silver Stryker logo on the X-brace. Inside-wise, the Viper features a Mopar stainless-steel pedal kit garnished with rubber grip inserts. In addition, there is a Mopar carbon-fiber satchel somewhere between the driver and passenger seat.
The 8.4-liter engine delivers an amazing 640 horsepower at 6,150 rpm and 600 pound-feet of torque at 4,950 rpm. It can run from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 206 mph.
The 2014 Viper`s starting price is $93,395. The GTS version can be purchased at $126,490.
