Today’s most interesting videos from the world of motoring begin seriously, but end up happily. On our list today is a very impressive clip with an old pickup from 1950, which its owner modified it into Mater, the hero of the 2006 animated film Cars.

The animated world from the film Cars has clearly lighted fans even among adults. One of these, namely the  Australian Mark Gibbins, built a real car according to one of the heroes. His old pickup from 1950 was modified into a rusty, battered, but more faithful peanut. And now with him he is doing crazy stunts, such as participating in “races” in the burning tires. Here we have Gibbins at the Cruise 4 Charity 10 Queensland Raceway performing some wild burnouts with his V8 Mater.
