I wouldn’t be able to imagine anything worse than what happened to this driver in a straight car race.

The driver, Larry Dixon still walked away uninjured after this horrible accident however the damage of the car is beyond repair. At a speed of 280 MPH the car can be seen flying up in the air and then slamming on the ground as it breaks in half midway. After it lands the speed carries it through to the point where it scrapes the wall but miraculously all of this left the driver intact in his seat waiting for the emergency crew to arrive and take him away from the seat.

Larry Dixon is truly a lucky man to be able to survive through such an accident. I was on edge as I was watching this thinking that the car might catch fire however the initial break was the biggest deal of damage and after that it was a matter of time until it decelerated. The competing driver was lucky to not catch any fragments of his opponent’s vehicle as he safely managed to bring his car to a stop although he can be seen entering the dividing line of the track before the explosion.

I am glad nobody was injured in this horrific crash.
