All We Know Is That We Want One And WE WANT IT BADLY: MASERATI BOOMERANG CONCEPT!

This is maybe the most unbelievable fact but rarely known from the public, Citroen used to own the Italian based automaker. It seems that Citroen didn’t left traits in the Maserati design era but this model will prove you the opposite!

For the first time released at the Turin Auto Show in 1970 as non-functional concept didn’t steal the attention on the show but two years later in 1972 at the Geneva Auto Show it took all the attention for the previous years and now is proudly reaching unbelievable price of $4.5 million! If you are interested master piece which it seems is designed only with ruler but signed by Giorgetto Giugiaro then prepare for the auction war on September 5th at Bohman.

The only Maserati designed with Citroen inspired language, Maserati Boomerang has unusual steering wheel and reminds of the USS Enterprise control room and by all the means has nothing in common with the other Italian supercars.

In the rear centrally is mounted the 4.7-liter V8 carbureted engine which delivers 310HP (at least what is left from them) to the rear wheels. It is worth to be seen and heard the old-school engine ringing again. As we said at the beginning ladies and gentlemen, all we know is that we want one and we want it badly! Enjoy the video bellow and see the futuristic design!
