Mercedes-Benz is known for luxury cars, but the admired car company stands behind the design of one of the most anticipated yachts which has just been presented at this year’s boat show in Monaco. On Wednesday the German car maker unveiled the Mercedes Benz Arrow460 Granturismo yacht, a designer’s futuristic masterpiece the entry price of which will amount to 1.7 million US dollars. The company first presented the concept of this boat even in 2012, but later together with the company Silver Arrows Marine turned the idea into reality.
When Mercedes introduced its first vessel this spring on the Cote d’Azur the public was shocked. Once only a concept, but now a reality, the Mercedes Benz Arrow460 Granturismo is one of the most beautiful boats of today.
From 2010 Mercedes Benz Style is synonymous with good taste in the high circles, just as Mercedes is itself and its cars in the world of luxury. After they conquered the air with the processing of the Airbus helicopters, Mercedes has switched to the seas, and for that they received help from the British shipbuilder Silver Arrows Marine.
It will be produced only in 10 copies!
The two companies will jointly produce only 10 yachts of the Edition 1 model and plan to sell only one copy in each country, which will make this luxury vessel an extremely rare occurrence. The Mercedes Benz Arrow460 Granturismo yacht will be 14 meters long, but its size will certainly make up for luxury and design in which only 10 people will be able to enjoy.
Inside the yacht there are elements that can be expected from a product with the adjective “luxury”: built-in air conditioning, ice machine, music system, mini wine cellar and an elegant interior. To decorate the interior were used materials like leather and eucalyptus wood. The side windows of the 15 meters long yacht can be lowered to allow the passengers to enjoy the surroundings.
The two diesel engines with power of 960 horses will enable the vessel a speed of 40 knots. The first copies will be delivered to their owners in the second half of 2017. The yacht has been given the nickname “Silver arrow on the sea”, according to Mercedes’ legendary “silver arrow” Formula 1 racing car built back in 1930’s.
Take a good look up close at what you will probably never be able to see in person. Unless you are one of those ten lucky people in this world 🙂
