Honda Announces NEW BENCHMARK TIMES Set By The Magnificent 2015 Honda Civic Type R At FIVE LEGENDARY European Circuits!!!

In 2014 the latest model, 2015 Honda Civic Type R made its official big appearance on the Nurburgring lap. Many rumors raised after the Civic Type R set 7 minutes and 50.63 seconds record, that the model on the track was not serially produced and it is strengthened just to fit the marketing campaigns for the upcoming model etc.

Let’s first remind you of the 2015 Honda Civic Type R specs and we’ll proceed to their 2016 target where Honda is moving the boundaries of serial productions sport cars! The 4th generation Honda Civic Type R is coming with 2.0-liter I4 styled turbo charged engine. With the R+ button option the car transforms into the ultimate sport machine while the handling, the suspension and the performance are increased. The final outcome of these improvements is 306BHP and 300lb-ft of torque. Sound fair for a car of this class.

But from Honda didn’t want to settle with mediocrity and they set the ultimate target for 2016, to collect five more benchmarks from the most challenging laps in Europe. And guess what, they succeeded in that.

It seem like after 2014 Nurburgring lap, 2015 Honda Civic Type R opened itself to massive expansion and the results are these:

2 minutes and 31.85 seconds for the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit with BTCC’s Matt Neal;

2 minutes 56.91 seconds at Spa thanks to Rob Huff (WTCC driver);

2 minutes and 15.16 seconds at Monza;

2 minutes and 10.85 seconds at Hungaroring thanks to Norbert Michelisz (WTCC driver);

And the last 2 minutes and 04.08 seconds at Estorial with Bruno Correia (WTCC and Formula E safety car driver).

So, what do you think, does the 2015 Honda Civic Type R met its goals for 2016? Watch the video below and you’ll see it what they’ve accomplished. Enjoy it.
