The guys in this video decided to conduct a social experiment with noble cause. Their goal was to label all those cars that drove up onto the sidewalk, not paying respect to the traffic rules. They got to a place where there was a sidewalk across a lawn nearby few buildings. The name of this youth movement is Stop a Douchebag and it attempts to enforce the traffic regulations in Russia.
This event took place in some city in Russia. Once they saw a vehicle driving up onto the sidewalk, they would approach it and warn drivers that they are actually driving onto a sidewalk. They asked those people to turn around and drive away from the sidewalk. If the car owners refused to do so, our heroes would attach large stickers on the windshield of their vehicle. The stickers had a writing on them which clearly testified the driver’s awareness for other people’s safety: “I don’t care about anyone, I drive wherever I want”. Some people were quite furious of this initiative and refused to do as asked, saying they don’t care if it’s a sidewalk they are driving onto. Other drivers were very aggressive with their refusal and attempted to drive around but the pedestrians got on top of the hood of their cars persistently not letting them drive through the sidewalk.
It made no difference to the guys who did the experiment whether it’s an old or a brand new car. They stood to their point that every car that drives up onto the sidewalk, deserves a sticker!
These guys really deserve all the credits for their contribution for raising people’s awareness. We support fully their cause and hope they will come up with more interesting and beneficial projects in the future.
What do you think of this event? Would you do the same in your neighborhood?
