Whenever we are talking about the one and only Chevrolet Corvette, we often associate this truly amazing sports car as one of the greatest and finest car models ever produced in automotive history. Mechanically and aesthetically, the Chevy Corvette is rightfully considered as a true automotive icon. So far seven generations have been brought to the public since the beginning of the lineup back in 1953 and it was initially introduced as a concept show car. Today, we are listing down the top 10 Corvettes ever made of all time. We made the entry listed in no particular order.
1953 Chevy C1 Corvette
I believe it would be best if we started this list with the one car that started it all. The C1 Chevy Corvette made back in 1953 is the first Corvette, commonly referred to as the “solid-axle” generation, since until the Sting Ray introduced in 1963, there wasn’t an independent rear suspension in these cars. What’s quite interesting is the fact that the C1 Corvette was first introduced as a concept car at the GM Motorama. However, once it hit the production, the expectations for the new automobile was largely unfulfilled which resulted in a lower sale for General Motors. The project was almost cancelled but fortunately for all the future Corvette fans, Chevrolet decided to keep the project running and create better versions of it.
