1. 1964.5 Ford Mustang Mk. l

We just have to admit that without the existence of this one, there wouldn’t be any of the other Top 10 Mustangs on our list.  The very first Ford Mustang was released five months before the start of the 1965 production year, thus leaving it in an unusual middle ground between 1964 and 1965.  This is the reason why the first Ford Mustang is known by the name of 1964.5 Mustang. Hard to believe, but this car was sold back in the days for the ridiculous price of just $2,300. If only a new Ford Mustang still cost that little.
