1971 was the year when another large-scale restyling was sorely needed in light of the serious strengthen the position of competitors. Externally, Dodge Charger has become more rounded, on it was once again updated the grille, turning again to separate one. The model has become much closer to the Pontiac. It was from this car where were taken the major external changes. In general, the car got more narrow wheelbase and the length of the body was shorten. Although only a few inches (5 and 8, respectively).
Visually, the 1971 Dodge Charger R / T seemed even prettier than its predecessors: the beautiful chrome rings discs, Ramcharger hood scoop, hidden headlights and wipers, 240 km/h on the speedometer, imitation wood texture inside the cabin and vinyl bucket seats with integrated headrests. You will surely agree that even without considering all of the above, the imagination produces something very attractive. Of course, in the context and spirit of that glorious time 🙂
Here we have an amazing video filmed by YouTube user Pihlos back in 2011. This 1971 Dodge Charger R/T 612 Hemi totally wasted those tires on the asphalt. Enjoy this great show folks! 🙂
