Since the introduction of Ferrari’s Tailor Made personalization program, a series of mind-blowing designs have been created.
The latest introduction in the series is the restyling of the Ferrari 458 Italia. This model car is a tribute to Formula One legend Niki Lauda, who has won three world championships driving this brand.
A personal designer from the Maranello Style Center took good care of the Lauda edition.
This supercar has a red body with a white roof. The designer was inspired by the Italian flag for the paint scheme. Moreover, there is a new set of gold alloy wheels which make the unique styling of the Lauda-inspired 458 Italia even more special.
Interior-wise, the Italian-flag pattern is further followed covering the center tunnel, seats, dashboard, instrument panel and steering wheel.
Considering Lauda`s Austrian hailing, Ferrari`s tribute has failed. There is not a petty detail reflecting Lauda`s homeland. On the contrary, the Italian symbols dominate the design.
Even the 458 Italia drives on gold wheels, and they match perfectly.
The 458 Italia will be unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show as the substitute for the F430. There has been a completely new design language that has been never seen before on a Ferrari model.
Under the hood, there is a 4.5-liter, V-8 engine producing a total of 570 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 398 pound-feet at 6,000 rpm. This car can hit from 0 to 60 mph in under 3.4 seconds, and reach a top speed up to an insane 201 mph.
