2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray – Driven

What would you do if the hotly anticipated 2014 Corvette Stingray is given to you for a day? Of course, hooning it! The C7 is definitely million miles far away from the C5 and C6 with its outstanding performance. The guys at TopSpeed filled the C7`s tank to the fullest, and hit the road.

This Vette is definitely snazzy with its all-new LED lights and blinkers. The structure lines originating in the front hood area give a super flow design to the vehicle. The deep hood shape is extremely three-dimensional, and the nose has an appealing look.

The design gives this machine a $100,000 look. Some of the parts that contribute to this look are the blacked-out A-pillars, the well-positioned air vents and ducts, and the carbon-fiber weave of the targa top panel.


We must admit that this Vette TopSpeed was driving has a weird electric blue finish. Yet, the car is a sight for sore eyes!

The tail spoiler aids the C7 manage keep balanced stance and aerodynamics at a high speed.

The Corvette-specific dials and infotainment, which are adjusted to the prior model cars are not Chevrolet`s brightest technological side.

Let`s be honest, the 1-second lag before the door opens is a bit shameful for Chevy. Thus, the CTS-V is practically ruined. But not anymore! The C7 door opens immediately once the button is pressed.


The C7`s A/C and insulation give the Vette an unfinished look.

Interior-wise, the old C6 had an awful steering due to the high plasticity of the wheel, the door handles didn`t differ greatly as well. The seating was greatly uncomfortable as there was a non-stop flopping all around. Only with the help of the door panels and central tunnel this could have been prevented.

After driving the C7, we have something to share with you. The seating is so firm and the wheel falls right in hand. All in all, the C7 impresses at first both glance and touch.
